# CLIENT UNPAUSE

> End a CLIENT PAUSE before its timeout.

`CLIENT UNPAUSE` ends a pause started with
[CLIENT PAUSE](https://docs.hotkv.com/commands/client-pause/index.md) right away. Commands that were held
run in the order they arrived. It is never held by a pause itself, and it
does nothing when no pause is active.

## Return value

Simple string `OK` in RESP2 and RESP3.

## Examples

```
127.0.0.1:6379> CLIENT PAUSE 60000
OK
127.0.0.1:6379> CLIENT UNPAUSE
OK
```

## Compatibility

Same as Redis 7 and Valkey 8.
