# CONFIG RESETSTAT

> Reset the statistics counters reported by INFO.

```
CONFIG RESETSTAT
```

- Group: Server
- Complexity: O(1)
- HotKV Cloud: all plans
- On-Premise: no license needed

`CONFIG RESETSTAT` sets the server's cumulative counters back to zero, so you
can measure a workload from a clean start. It resets:

- connection counters: `total_connections_received`, `rejected_connections`,
  and the client buffer limit disconnection counts
- command counters: `total_commands_processed`, the `commandstats`,
  `errorstats` and `latencystats` sections, and the data behind
  [LATENCY HISTOGRAM](https://docs.hotkv.com/commands/latency-histogram/index.md)
- keyspace counters such as `keyspace_hits`, `keyspace_misses`,
  `expired_keys` and `evicted_keys`
- `total_net_input_bytes` and `total_net_output_bytes`
- ACL denial counts (`acl_access_denied_*`)
- persistence and script statistics, and the cluster bus message counts

Data, configuration, the slow log and the latency monitor's events are not
touched; use [SLOWLOG RESET](https://docs.hotkv.com/commands/slowlog-reset/index.md) and
[LATENCY RESET](https://docs.hotkv.com/commands/latency-reset/index.md) for those.

## Return value

Simple string `OK` in RESP2 and RESP3.

## Examples

```
127.0.0.1:6379> CONFIG RESETSTAT
OK
127.0.0.1:6379> INFO stats
# Stats
total_connections_received:0
total_commands_processed:1
...
```

## Compatibility

Same as Redis 7 and Valkey 8.
