```
ECHO message
```

- Group: Connection
- Complexity: O(1)
- HotKV Cloud: all plans
- On-Premise: no license needed

`ECHO` replies with the message you send. It is useful for testing a
connection, or a client library's handling of binary-safe strings.

## Return value

The message as a bulk string, in both RESP2 and RESP3. Any number of
arguments other than one is refused with
`ERR wrong number of arguments for 'echo' command`.

## Examples

```
127.0.0.1:6379> ECHO "hello world"
"hello world"
127.0.0.1:6379> ECHO ""
""
```

## Compatibility

Same as Redis 7 and Valkey 8.
