# MODULE LIST

`MODULE LIST` returns the loaded modules. HotKV does not load modules, so
the list is always empty. Clients and tools that check for a module before
using its commands can call it safely; the features those modules add in
Redis are built into HotKV.

## Return value

An empty array in RESP2 and RESP3.

## Examples

127.0.0.1:6379> MODULE LIST
(empty array)
```

## Compatibility

Same reply shape as Redis 7 and Valkey 8 on a server without modules.
