# MODULE UNLOAD

> Unload a module; HotKV never has modules loaded, so the command always replies with an error.

`MODULE UNLOAD` exists for compatibility only. HotKV does not load modules,
so there is never one to unload.

## Return value

Always the error `ERR No such module with that name`, in RESP2 and RESP3.

## Examples

```
127.0.0.1:6379> MODULE UNLOAD bf
(error) ERR No such module with that name
```

## Compatibility

Same error as Redis 7 and Valkey 8 give for a module that is not loaded.
