# MODULE

> Module management commands, kept for compatibility; HotKV does not load modules.

`MODULE` is a container command kept so that tools written for Redis get a
clear answer. HotKV does not load modules: the data types and features that
Redis gets from modules (Bloom filters, count-min sketch, top-k, time
series, vector search and more) are built into HotKV. See the
[command reference](https://docs.hotkv.com/commands/index.md) for them.

`MODULE HELP` lists the subcommands.

## Errors

| Case | Reply |
| --- | --- |
| Unknown subcommand | `ERR unknown subcommand 'name'. Try MODULE HELP.` |
| Wrong number of arguments | `ERR wrong number of arguments for 'module\|subcommand' command` |

## Compatibility

Same subcommands as Redis 7 and Valkey 8, but no module can be loaded.
