Embedding de-duplication stores each embedding once per content hash and counts references to it, so the same content embedded by many users or documents is stored, and paid for, only once. You compute the content hash and the embedding; HotKV keeps them in named namespaces. EMBED.DEDUP.STATS reports counters for one namespace. For a namespace that does not exist, every counter is zero.

Return value

The reply is a flat array of alternating field names and values in both RESP2 and RESP3 (it is not sent as a RESP3 map). The fields, in order:

Field Type Meaning
hits Integer EMBED.DEDUP.GET calls that found an embedding.
misses Integer GET calls that found nothing.
entries Integer Embeddings currently stored.

Errors:

  • ERR wrong number of arguments for 'embed.dedup.stats' command if the argument count is wrong.
  • NOLICENSE embed-dedup requires a HotKV license. Contact sales@hotkv.com if your license does not include the embed-dedup feature.
