The prompt registry stores versioned prompt templates by name, with one version marked active, so you can roll a prompt forward or back without deploying code. PROMPT.LATEST returns the template’s active version, exactly like PROMPT.GET without a version. The active version is the most recent one unless you have pointed it at an older one with PROMPT.SETACTIVE; in that case PROMPT.LATEST returns the older, active version. Use PROMPT.VERSIONS to find the highest version number.
